Operations Director

Love Beets Production, LLC (Rochester, NY) seeks Operations Director to direct and manage the company's site production capability towards world-class manufacturing excellence.

JOB SUMMARY: Lead all manufacturing, warehousing, engineering and supply chain teams and function while actively taking leadership role on key initiatives in alignment with company objectives. Develop and execute strategies to ensure all employees, product output, quality measures, pricing controls, inventory management, and vendor relationships align with company values and support the long-term success of the business. Legal: ensure that company operations, policies & procedures comply with all federal & state legal requirements and reflect best practices in all areas under the Head’s direct control. Production: develop best manufacturing practices throughout the operation; establish production procedure to corporate standards; traceability systems, management controls and regular audits. Develop/maintain required systems to meet food safety regulations. Establish planning tools; monitor use and effectiveness in production. Strategic planning for consistency through market pressures. Consistently meet customer performance expectations. Financial: Reduce costs through efficient production, sourcing and utilization of resources. Monitor labor and other costs; continually review operations, sales, costs & profit performance. Develop relevant KPI’s linked to business objectives; communicate KPI performance to involved teams. Budgeting: produce annual budgets, implement control systems to monitor budget elements. Ensure capital plans are monitored, controlled, and reviewed against time criteria and agreed terms. Labor: Create work environment where workers are engaged, safe & respected; maintain through clear communication on organization performance & change. Support recruitment, learning, development and succession towards business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5 years of progressive professional-level production management experience in the food industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food manufacturing and supply chain management practices and procedures.
  • knowledge of governance aspects including responsibility for meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
