5 Un-BEET-able Thanksgiving Sides

Move over, bland mashed potatoes - these sides are bright and fresh and flavorful!

Don’t get us wrong – we’re suckers for creamy mashed potatoes, salty gravy, and *of course* all the stuffing we can fit into our cheeks until we look like chipmunks. Thanksgiving, to us, is all about nostalgia and togetherness and comforting platters of food that you remember noshing on when you were little. That said, it’s always fun to switch it up a bit and throw some new flavors and colors onto the ol’ turkey day table – that’s where this round up comes in!

We’ve brought together some fresh twists on Thanksgiving classics – from our family table, to yours!

Perhaps mashed potatoes prettier cousin who lives somewhere glamorous and always Instagrams herself on the beach, Smashed Sweet Potatoes with Garlic Honey-Ginger Aioli are a spiced up play on potatoes that’ll have everyone digging in for seconds.

It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving 2016 without some Brussels on the table. Far from the over-done (because they’re insanely delicious, but still!) roasted Brussels sprout side, this Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad with Pears, Beets, and Gorgonzola is raw, delicate, and incredibly tasty.
